China's power generation of all sources totaled 1,349.7 TWh during first two months this year, a 0.7% rise from a year earlier, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed on March 15.
The rise slowed down by 2.3 percentage points from December 2022. Daily average hit 22.28 TWh.
By source, thermal power (most from coal burning) generation totaled 975.7 TWh, down 2.3% year on year; hydropower fell 3.4% to 136.7 TWh; wind 133.7 TWh, up 30.2%; nuclear 66.8 TWh, up 4.3%; solar 37 TWh, up 9.3%, NBS data showed.
