Southern China's Guangxi province generated 17.26 TWh of electricity in February, while consumption totaled 33.59 TWh in the same month, data from local development and reform commission showed.
The committee did not publish changes in these figures from the previous year.
The generation included 2.9 TWh of hydropower, 10.4 TWh of thermal power, 1.47 TWh of nuclear power, 2.14 TWh of wind and 0.35 TWh of solar, the data showed.
For consumption, the primary industries – mainly the agricultural sector – consumed 302 GWh of electricity; the secondary industries – mainly the industrial sector – used 11.25 TWh, and the tertiary industries – mainly the service sector – registered 2.35 TWh. Additionally, residential use totaled 3.68 TWh.
In January-February, the province produced 33.59 TWh of power, including 5.8 TWh of hydropower, 19.6 TWh of thermal power, 2.97 TWh of nuclear power, 4.49 TWh of wind and 0.71 TWh of solar.
Power consumption were 35.1 TWh in the first two months, with the primary industries 633 GWh, the secondary industries 21.8 TWh, the tertiary industries 4.73 TWh, and the residential use 7.91 TWh.
