Poland's hard coal production was 3.87 million tonnes in June, down 12.2% from a year ago and 0.7% from a month ago, official statistics showed.
Lignite production reached 3.05 million tonnes in the month, down 30.8% year on year but up 3.3% month on month, data showed.
Poland's total coal production was calculated at 6.92 million tonnes in June, down 21.5% from the preceding year but rising 1% from the previous month.
Poland produced a total 43.14 million tonnes of coal during January-June, a 21.8% fall compared to the same period in 2022. Hard coal production was 23.34 million tonnes, down 16.7% on the year, and lignite production dropped 27.1% from the year-ago level to 19.8 million tonnes.
