China exported 20.08 million tonnes of steel products during January-March this year, up 53.2% year on year, according to data released by the General Administration of Customs.
The total exports were worth $25.19 billion, up 36.7% year on year, putting the average export price at $1,254.27 yuan/t, 10.8% lower compared with a year ago.
In March, China's steel exports stood at 7.89 million tonnes, 59.6% higher compared with the year-ago level.
Export value of steel products amounted to $10.2 billion in March, up 51.8% year on year. The average export price was down 4.9% year on year to 1,294.16 yuan/t.
