Daily crude steel ouput at key member firms of China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) stood at 2.25 million tonnes during June 21-30, falling 0.74% compared with the previous ten days, the CISA data showed.
Daily production of pig iron averaged 2.03 million tonnes during the same period, inching up 0.52% from ten days ago. Daily output of finished steel increased 6.41% from ten days ago to 2.31 million tonnes.
Nationwide, daily production of crude steel is estimated to dip 0.54% from ten days ago to 2.94 million tonnes. The daily pig iron output is calculated at 2.46 million tonnes, rising 0.41% compared to ten days earlier, and daily finished steel production is estimated at 3.92 million tonnes, up 0.95%.
As of end of June 30, CISA key member steel mills held 14.78 million tonnes of finished steel in stock, 8.89% or 1.44 million tonnes lower than mid-June and falling 5.38% or 840,400 tonnes compared with the same period in the preceding month. The volume was 12.79% or 2.17 million tonnes lower than the same period in the preceding year, data showed.
