Daily crude steel ouput at key member firms of China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) stood at 2.26 million tonnes during June 11-20, rising 1.42% compared with the previous ten days, the CISA data showed.
Daily production of pig iron averaged 2.02 million tonnes during the given period, inching up 0.73% from ten days ago. Daily output of finished steel increased 5.04% from ten days ago to 2.17 million tonnes.
Nationwide, daily production of crude steel is estimated to gain 1.11% from ten days ago to 2.95 million tonnes. The daily pig iron output is calculated at 2.45 million tonnes, rising 0.58% compared to ten days earlier, and daily finished steel production is estimated at 3.88 million tonnes, up 3.02%.
As of end of June 20, CISA key member steel mills held 16.22 million tonnes of finished steel stocks, 2.64% or 0.42 million tonnes higher than early June but reducing 0.26% or 42,600 tonnes compared with the same period in the preceding month. The volume was 20.96% or 4.30 million tonnes lower than the same period in the preceding year, data showed.
