Canada's coal output rebounded sharply in January, posting a 38.6% year-on-year increase, according to government statistics.
Coal production in Canada rose 34.2% from a month ago to 3.87 million tonnes in January, up for the first time after falling for four months in a row.
For full-year 2022, Canada's coal production still dropped 5.7% to 39.42 million tonnes.
