China's 10 largest coal mining groups (in terms of production) produced 377.45 million tonnes of raw coal during January-February 2023, rising 11.88 million tonnes or 3.25% year on year, according to statistics released by China National Coal Association.
The volume represented 52.1% of China's total coal production over last year.
Total coal production of China's above-designated coal producers reached 730 million tonnes during January-February 2023, a 5.8% rise year on year, with the growth accelerating 3.4 percentage points week on week. Daily production stood at 12.44 million tonnes over the first two months.
China's coal imports came in at 60.64 million tonnes during January-February, rising 70.8% year on year.
