Germany's hard coal imports stood at 2.1 million tonnes in April, down 33.66% year on year, preliminary data from German Statistics Bureau showed.
The April imports also declined 27.11% from March, the data showed.
The value of the hard coal imports reached €565 million (about $630.14 million), falling 21.25% from a year earlier and 25.54% from a month ago; the average import price was calculated at €220.41/t, down 9.36% year on year and 8.15% month on month.
In January-April, Germany's hard coal imports totaled 10.85 million tonnes, a 16.46% fall year on year; value of the imports declined 22.64% to €2.59 billion.
