Poland's hard coal production reached 4.26 million tonnes in March, down 22.6% from a year earlier but rising 14.6% from a month earlier, official statistics showed.
Lignite production was 3.39 million tonnes in the month, down 31.1% year on year but rising 0.8% month on month, the data showed.
Poland's total coal production was calculated at 7.65 million tonnes in March, down 2.77 million tonnes or 26.6% year on year but rising 570,000 or 8.1
Poland produced a total 22.83 million tonnes of coal during January-March, a 19.1% fall from the same period in 2022. Hard coal production was 12.02 million tonnes, down 16.5%, and lignite production dropped 21.8% to10.81 million tonnes.
