Daily crude steel production at key member firms of China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) stood at 2.23 million tonnes during June 1-10, rising 6.48% compared with the previous ten days, the CISA data showed.
Daily production of pig iron averaged 2.0 million tonnes during the given period, inching up 3.56% from ten days ago. Daily output of finished steel declined 4.23% from ten days ago to 2.06 million tonnes.
Nationwide, daily production of crude steel is estimated to gain 4.36% from ten days ago to 2.92 million tonnes. The daily pig iron output is calculated at 2.44 million tonnes, rising 2.42% compared to ten days earlier, and daily finished steel production is estimated at 3.77 million tonnes, up 0.89%.
As of end of June 10, CISA key member steel mills held 15.80 million tonnes of finished steel stocks, 1.18% or 0.18 million tonnes higher than late-May but reducing 10.26% or 1.81 million tonnes compared with the same period in the preceding month. The volume was 14.79% lower than the same period in the preceding year, data showed.
