Guoneng Huanghua port saw its accumulative coal unloading volume reach 82.95 million tonnes and coal loading 84.14 million tonnes during January-May, both hitting the highest among other ports in China, local media reported.
By the end of the month, they had organized 409 voyages of 50,000-tonne-class vessels for two-way navigation and 212 waiting-to-berth operations, effectively improving vessel turnover efficiency, according to the report.
By leveraging the advantages of the two-way waterway, the average time vessels spend in the port decreased by 28.7% compared to the previous year, the idle time per vessel berth reduced by 6.5%, and the berth vacancy rate narrowed by 2.3%, it said.
