Mongolia exported 1.75 million tonnes of iron ore in January-April, jumping 72.03% or 732,900 tonnes from a year ago, showed latest data from the Mongolian Customs General Administration (MCGA).
The total export value soared 47.45% on the year to $151 million during the first four months, data showed.
China was the only destination of Mongolian iron ore during the period.
MCGA didn't release the specific figure for last month, yet Sxcoal calculated the exports at 446,100 tonnes based on the overall exports published by the customs authority, up 11.18% year on year yet down 6.22% on the month.
The iron ore exports amounted to $41.12 million in April, with average price at $92.18/t, down $19.16/t from a year ago and $1.21/t from a month earlier, data showed.
