Coke output of the 124 member firms of the China Coking Industry Association was registered at 18.07 million tonnes in February, climbing 6.27% from the year-ago level, CCIA data showed.
CCIA member firms' coke output accounted for around 48% of the country's total last year, historical data showed. China did not release specific production data in February but aggregated output of 77.63 million tonnes during January-February, according to National Bureau of Statistics.
The member firms' methanol output stood at 370,200 million tonnes, up 11.81% year on year, and ammonia sulfate output came in at 189,300 million tonnes, rising 13.23% from a year ago, data showed.
Coal tar output came in at 725,200 tonnes in February, climbing 6.65% year on year. Crude benzene production was up 6.5% to 194,500 tonnes, CCIA data showed.
