China churned out 417.22 million tonnes of raw coal in March 2023, rising 4.3% from a year ago, showed data from National Bureau of Statistics on April 18.
The growth slowed down by 1.5 percentage points compared with increase in the first two months, data showed.
The daily raw coal output stood at 13.46 million tonnes in March, up by 1.02 million tonnes compared with 12.44 million tonnes over January-February, data showed.
During the first three months, China's total raw coal production was 1.15 billion tonnes, up 5.5% year on year, according to the NBS.
