Steel products prices in China declined in mid-July (July 11-20) from early increases, showed the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
The average price of construction steel rebar (HRB 400, 20mm) at 25 major cities in China fell 23.4 yuan/t or 0.6% from ten days earlier to 3,684.8 yuan/t during this period.
Prices of wire (HPB 300, 6.5mm) averaged 3,882.4 yuan/t in the same period, down 27.4 yuan/t or 0.7% from ten days ago.
Prices of common medium plate (Q235, 20mm) fell by 21.2 yuan/t or 0.5% from the preceding session to 4,044.8 yuan/t.
Hot-rolled plate (Q235, 3mm) decreased 12.1 yuan/t or 0.3% to 3,889.8 yuan/t.
Seamless steel tube declined 7.2 yuan/t or 0.2% to 4,675.5 yuan/t.
Angle steel descended 16.2 yuan/t or 0.4% to 4,045.7 yuan/t, data showed.
