Daily crude steel ouput at key member firms of China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) stood at 2.24 million tonnes during July 1-10, falling 0.25% compared with the previous ten days, the CISA data showed.
Daily production of pig iron averaged 2.02 million tonnes during the same period, inching down 0.45% from ten days ago. Daily output of finished steel decreased 8.99% from ten days ago to 2.1 million tonnes.
Nationwide, daily production of crude steel is estimated to dip 0.19% from ten days ago to 2.93 million tonnes. The daily pig iron output is calculated at 2.45 million tonnes, falling 0.36% compared to ten days earlier, and daily finished steel production is estimated at 3.84 million tonnes, down 2.05%.
As of July 10, CISA key member steel mills held 15.9 million tonnes of finished steel in stock, 7.56% or 1.12 million tonnes higher than late-June and 0.59% or 94,000 tonnes compared with the same period in the preceding month. The volume was 11.91% or 2.15 million tonnes lower than the same period in the preceding year, data showed.
